Jong-nam murder case suspects make appearance at Sepang Court

SEPANG - The Sepang court complex was once again the focus of the media as the two Kim Jong-nam murder suspects appeared for mention of the case on Tuesday.

Local and foreign media practitioners converged on the court complex from as early as 5.30am.

The suspects — Vietnamese Doan Thi Huong, 28, and Indonesian national Siti Aisyah, 25 — arrived in two 4WD vehicles which were heavily guarded by a team from the Special Task Force On Organised Crime (Stafoc).

Both suspects were seen wearing bullet-proof vests.

The first 4WD vehicle carrying Doan arrived at about 9 am while the second 4WD vehicle carrying SitiAisyah arrived three minutes later.

Most of the media could not see the two as they were whisked into the building via the rear door.

Doan and Siti Aisyah are being charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murdering Jong-nam, who is the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, at KL International Airport 2 on Feb 13.

They face the mandatory death penalty if convicted. - Bernama
