KOTA KINABALU - The Registrar of Society has ordered DAP to hold again the Annual General Meeting for year 2008 to 2012 to elect its Central Executive Committee due to discrepancies and many complaints received from its members.

Hiew King Cheu, the MCA Luyang assemblyman who had left DAP since the end of 2013, was informed by the party’s Chief of Staff on July 17, 2017 informing him through e-mail to attend an emergency meeting of the 2008 – 2012 CEC members to discuss matters pertaining the instruction by ROS.

Hiew said this is truly funny, and reflected the weak administration of the DAP, and that it was totally disorganized and behind time.

“How come a person who had resigned from the party after so many years is still receiving such correspondence from the DAP headquarters? Now I am being asked to attend an emergency meeting by the request of the party secretary general Lim Guan Eng,” he posed in a statement.

Hiew expressed his regret over the e-mail he received, and he felt very surprised that he is still a CEC member of the DAP for 2008 to 2012 term.

Hiew also claimed that many people had approached him to offer praise for making the right choice to leave the DAP to join the Barisan Nasional.

“By joining the MCA-BN, I can now serve the people in a more positive way, as the people are truly fed up with the opposition politics who only provide “lip- services”, and their “argument-based” type of big statements which are no benefit to the people, Hiew said.

He said the people wanted to have a 'performing people's representative' who can really help them.
