IC Scanning Proves Need To Protect Sabah/Malaysian Sovereignty – Dr. Jeffrey

KOTA KINABALU - “The Federal and Sabah governments, Umno and BN leaders should no longer look the other way.  The IC scanning directive by non-other than the DPM cum Minister of Home Affairs clearly proves the need to protect Sabah and Malaysia’s sovereignty” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, Bingkor Assemblyman and President of Parti Solidarity Tanah Airku (STAR).

Dr. Jeffrey was responding to the DPM Zahid’s directive to scan ICs of holders of Malaysian MyCards in Sabah.

Obviously, there is a problem with so-called “Sabahans” holding MyCards and the problem would have to be huge to warrant the DPM to issue the directive applicable only in Sabah.

The DPM should disclose how big the extent of the problem and ought to know that IC scanning alone will not solve the problem.

After all, he is the Minister responsible for internal security, the national registration, immigration as well as DPM and co-chairs the main Cabinet Committee set up after the RCI on illegal immigrants in Sabah and tasked with resolving the long-standing problem.

The RCI Report confirmed that foreigners and illegal immigrants were issued ICs not in accordance with the law and that the so-called “Project IC” during PM Mahathir’s time probably existed.  The Report also found that ineligible foreigners were entered into the electoral rolls.

In any other country, heads will roll and persons involved in any way with the issuance of dubious ICs and registering them as voters would have been charged with treason and sentenced to death, if found guilty.

In Malaysia, many of them are still in government and some holding very senior positions, elected with the help of those fake Malaysians registered as voters.

It is not rocket science why no action is being taken by the Federal government and these leaders including senior BN leaders in Sabah while some BN leaders chose to look the other way or remain silent to protect their positions.

They are nothing more than traitors to Sabah and Malaysia.

Unless strict action is taken to resolve the problem, over time, these “illegal” Malaysians and their descendants will pose a serious threat to the sovereignty of Malaysia and Sabah.  They also threaten the security and very social fabric of true Malaysian and Sabahan society as can be seen from the arrests of terrorist, militants and IS members and supporters holding Malaysian ICs.
